At the time of booking, a 50% deposit of the total price of the activity must be made, otherwise the reservation will not be confirmed. The remaining balance must be paid before the tour begins on the day of travel, preferably in cash. If payment is to be made by card, it will be charged in the local currency (MXN) + taxes.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation by Breathe Out Baja
Breathe Out Baja reserves the right to cancel any booked activity if circumstances require it. In such cases, we will either propose an alternative tour date or issue a full refund of the amount paid. Should a cancellation be necessary, our team will contact you via email and WhatsApp as soon as possible.
The most common reasons for cancellation include:

Inclement weather conditions that pose a risk or make the tour impossible, such as strong winds, unsafe navigation, or port closure. Our team continuously monitors the weather forecast before confirming your reservation to ensure the best possible conditions. However, since we operate in a natural environment in Cabo San Lucas and Baja California Sur, unexpected weather changes may occur. The Harbor Master also has the authority to restrict or close the port if navigation is deemed unsafe, and we are required to comply with these orders.

Minimum number of participants not reached. Some of our tours, such as scuba diving trips, ocean safaris, or whale watching excursions, require a minimum number of guests. If this threshold is not met, we will inform you in advance, guarantee a full refund, or offer another date. The cancellation will be officially confirmed the day before departure. If you still wish to proceed, you may cover the remaining spots, and the tour will run as scheduled.
Cancellation by the client
Local tours (half-day):

If you cancel with more than 48 hours notice before departure, we will refund your deposit minus a 10% administrative fee.

If you cancel between 48 and 24 hours before departure, the 50% deposit will be charged in full (no refund of the deposit).

If you cancel with 24 hours notice or less, or in case of a no-show, 100% of the tour price will be charged.
Full-day tours and day trips (e.g. Gordo Banks, La Paz, Puerto Chale, La Ventana):

If you cancel with more than 72 hours notice before departure, we will refund your deposit minus a 10% administrative fee.

If you cancel between 72 and 48 hours before departure, the 50% deposit will be charged in full (no refund of the deposit).

If you cancel with 48 hours notice or less, or in case of a no-show, 100% of the tour price will be charged.
