Our Policies

SECURE PAYMENTS FOR YOUR ADVENTURE

Payments

  • At the time of booking, a 50% deposit of the total price + taxes is required to confirm the reservation. Advance booking is recommended, as we operate with small groups and availability is limited.

  • Reservation deposits are paid through a payment link processed in Mexican pesos (MXN) and include a 4.20% processing fee. If your bank is outside Mexico, it may apply its own exchange rate or additional international transaction fees.

  • The remaining balance is due before the tour begins on the day of departure. We accept cash and cards.

  • If payment is made by card, it will be charged in local currency (MXN) at an exchange rate of 19 MXN per USD + taxes (4.18%).

Guests Policy

All individuals onboard are considered guests, whether participating in the activity (diving) or accompanying as observers.

Guests accompanying a diver are welcome to join the boat. The fee is 800 MXN for dives in the Cabo San Lucas Marine Park and 1,000 MXN for dives in the Corridor.

All guests must follow crew instructions and safety guidelines at all times. The captain and guides reserve the right to limit or refuse participation in any activity if conditions or safety requirements are not met. Availability of space onboard is limited, and all guests must be confirmed in advance.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation by Breathe Out Baja

Breathe Out Baja reserves the right to cancel any booked activity if circumstances require it. In such cases, we will offer a new date or issue a full refund of the amount paid. If a cancellation is necessary, our team will contact you by email and WhatsApp as soon as possible.

Common reasons for cancellation include:​​

  • Adverse weather conditions that pose a risk or make the tour impossible (e.g., strong winds, unsafe navigation, or port closure). We monitor forecasts before confirming your booking to ensure the best possible conditions; however, we operate in a natural environment in Cabo San Lucas and Baja California Sur, so unexpected changes can occur. The Harbor Master may restrict or close the port if navigation is deemed unsafe, and we must comply with those orders.​

  • Minimum number of participants not met. Some tours (such as scuba diving, ocean safaris, or whale watching) require a minimum number of guests. If the threshold is not reached, we will notify you in advance and guarantee a full refund or offer an alternative date. The cancellation will be officially confirmed the day before departure. If you prefer to proceed, you may cover the remaining spots, and the tour will run as scheduled.​

Cancellation by the client

Local tours (half-day):

  • More than 48 hours before departure: we refund your deposit minus a 10% administrative fee.

  • Between 48 and 24 hours: 50% is charged (no refund of the deposit).

  • 24 hours or less, or no-show: 100% of the tour price is charged.

Full-day tours and day trips (e.g., Gordo Banks, La Paz, Puerto Chale, La Ventana)

  • More than 72 hours before departure: we refund your deposit minus a 10% administrative fee.

  • Between 72 and 48 hours: 50% is charged (no refund of the deposit).

  • 48 hours or less, or no-show: 100% of the tour price is charged.
