Scuba diving in Cabo San Lucas
Exploring Cabo’s Cliffs and Coral Gardens
WHY CABO: RICH MARINE ECOSYSTEM AND SMALL GROUPS
Discover the best scuba diving in Cabo San Lucas, from vibrant coral reefs to impressive underwater canyons. Whether you’re a certified diver or trying scuba diving for the first time, this is your chance to explore the magic of the southern tip of Baja California and experience one of the richest marine ecosystems in the world. We operate in small groups to ensure personalized service, the highest safety standards, and an unforgettable adventure experience. From here, your adventure branches into two nearby areas: the Marine Park—just a quick 5-minute boat ride from the marina—and the Corridor, a stretch of dive sites about 20 minutes away by boat.
CABO SAN LUCAS MARINE PARK
The Marine Park, in the bay of Cabo San Lucas where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez, features rocky bottoms, steep walls, and underwater canyons dropping more than 1,000 ft / 300 m. Notable sites include Pelican Rock—with its famous Sand Falls—and Land’s End, near the Arch, where you can see remnants of a sunken ship. Wildlife here may include an impressive abundance of moray eels, mobula rays, and pufferfish—a signature sight: curious, social, and surprisingly friendly, they often gather near the shallows and will often playfully trail divers during the safety stop, coming in very close for a look and making for great underwater photo moments.

Visibility and temperature can change quickly due to the deep submarine canyon in the middle of the bay, which channels cooler water and thermoclines; conditions can swing from greenish 30–50 ft / 10–15 m visibility to clearer, warm blue-water days with up to 100 ft / 30 m visibility. As this is one of Cabo’s most iconic zones, you’ll see more boat activity around popular sites—the upside is short rides, easy entries, and well-marked areas, keeping the experience smooth and accessible while we plan timing and routes for relaxed diving.
THE CORRIDOR AREA
The Corridor offers a different—and generally calmer—setting than the Marine Park, with less boat traffic. This area contrasts with large coral formations, colorful sea-fan gardens, and abundant marine life. It’s common to see turtles, rays resting on the sand and, at times, whitetip reef sharks—and on some days, schools of eagle rays gliding past in perfect formation. In winter, you can even hear humpback whale song underwater, while at the surface their blows and tail slaps are frequent on the ride out to the Corridor. Taken together, the Corridor shows another side of Cabo: its coral gardens and sea fans create a vibrant, textured seascape that complements the Marine Park—two distinct areas that, together, turn your day on the water into a well-rounded experience.
