Master Deep Diving and Navigation in Cabo
Our PADI Advanced Open Water Course is 100% practical, designed to get you out of the classroom and into the stunning waters of the Sea of Cortez. Over two days, you will complete five specialized adventure dives. Rather than practicing in confined waters, you’ll develop your skills directly in the ocean, gaining real-world experience that translates into better buoyancy, improved awareness, and greater overall comfort in diverse diving conditions.
The core of your certification focuses on two essential pillars: Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation. During the deep dive, we’ll descend to a maximum of 30 meters (100 feet), where you’ll learn to manage air consumption and recognize the physical effects of increased pressure. In the navigation module, you’ll master the use of the compass and learn to use natural landmarks—like the rock formations of Land's End—to find your way back to the boat with precision.

Tailored Adventure: Elective Dives & Sea of Cortez Wonders
In addition to the core modules, we adapt three elective dives to the local conditions of Cabo San Lucas and your personal interests. Most of our students choose Peak Performance Buoyancy to perfect their trim and hover like a pro, protecting the delicate coral reefs and saving air. For those fascinated by marine biology, the Fish Identification dive is a favorite, where you’ll learn to recognize the tropical species that make the Sea of Cortez the "Aquarium of the World."
If you are looking for a unique thrill, we also offer the option to complete a Night Dive as one of your adventure dives (additional fee applies). Descending into the dark waters of Pelican Rock with a torch reveals a completely different world of nocturnal hunters, rays, and even bioluminescence.
Because this is an exclusive group course, every dive is tailored to your pace. If you need more time to master your buoyancy or want to spend an extra few minutes observing the unique geological phenomenon of the Sand Falls while practicing your navigation, we have the flexibility to do it. This hands-on approach ensures that by the end of the course, you won't just have a new card in your wallet—you'll have the confidence to dive anywhere in the world.
