What You'll See Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas
Pelican Rock is one of the best snorkeling spots in Cabo, with calm, clear water and a rocky reef full of life just below the surface. Depending on the day, you may see schools of tropical fish, curious pufferfish, playful sea lions, moray eels peeking out of the rocks and, in season, rays gliding over the sand.
On the way, we cruise past Land's End to see the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, one of the most iconic views in Baja California Sur. We don't snorkel at the Arch itself, but it's the perfect spot for photos, and you'll often see sea lions resting on the rocks nearby.

When is the best time of year to snorkel in Cabo San Lucas?
You can snorkel in Cabo all year round, and each season has something different to offer. From January to July the water is cooler and full of marine life, with changing visibility. From August to December it turns warm and tropical, with the clearest water of the year. Wetsuits are included, so you'll stay comfortable in any season.

What is the best time of day for snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas?
Morning trips usually have the calmest water and the least wind, which makes them ideal for beginners and families. Afternoon trips are great if you'd rather not wake up early, want warmer light for photos, or are arriving on a cruise ship later in the day.

How long is the snorkel tour?
The snorkel tour lasts about 2.5 hours dock to dock, including the boat ride past Land's End and the Arch and your time in the water at Pelican Rock. We have daily morning and afternoon departures, so it's easy to fit into your day in Cabo.

Is snorkeling in Cabo safe for beginners and non-swimmers?
Yes. Our guides are in the water with you at all times, and wetsuits give you natural buoyancy, so floating is much easier than you might expect. Life jackets are available for extra support, and your guide always carries a rescue buoy you can hold onto and rest whenever you need.

Can children join the snorkel tour?
Yes, children 6 years and older are welcome when accompanied by a parent or guardian. We have child-sized gear, so kids are safe and comfortable in the water. It's one of the best family activities in Cabo, and many kids see their first tropical fish with us.

What level of fitness do I need?
Average physical fitness is enough. We snorkel in a protected area marked with buoys, where there's usually no current, but you'll need to climb in and out of the boat using a ladder and swim at a relaxed pace. For your safety, this tour is not recommended for people with heart conditions or recent surgeries. If you have any medical concerns, please let us know when booking.

Do I need to bring my own snorkeling gear?
No, we provide everything: mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, microfiber towel and biodegradable sunscreen. If you have your own mask or gear and feel more comfortable with it, you're welcome to bring it. What you'll want to bring: • Swimsuit, sunglasses and a hat or cap • A sweater or jacket for the boat ride • A camera, and seasickness medication if you need it

Can someone join the boat without snorkeling?
Yes. Friends or family who don't want to get in the water can join as passengers at a reduced rate. They can enjoy the boat ride, take photos of the Arch and relax on board while the rest of the group snorkels. You'll find the details in our Guest Policy.

Is this snorkel tour good for cruise ship passengers?
Yes. We meet at the Cabo San Lucas Marina, within walking distance of the cruise pier, and the tour is timed so you're back well before your ship leaves. Just tell us your ship's departure time when you book, and we'll plan around it.

What's not included in the price?
Personal travel or medical insurance, and gratuities for the captain and crew, are not included. Everything you need for snorkeling is already part of the tour.
